- After a thorough investigation of the complaints made, secured dismissal of all charges filed against client in a
domestic violence case.
- Worked with counsel for client's co-defendant to secure a plea offer to
restorative justice on and dismissal of client's harassment case. Also worked with client, restorative justice
coordinator and DA to ensure the out of state client would not have to return to Colorado for the case.
- Negotiated the dismissal of one charge and referral to diversion on
another charge in a case where an underage client was originally charged with drinking and then harassing
another person.
- Negotiated a deferred prosecution for the client in a case
where the client and alleged victim as part of an ongoing disagreement had a heated argument in a public place.
- Negotiated dismissal of all charges and sealed the case for a student client accused of possession of drug
paraphernalia.
- In a situation where the client had misdemeanor theft and misdemeanor marijuana cases, negotiated dismissal of
one of the cases and a deferred judgment and sentence on the
other, despite the fact that client had felony charges pending in another jurisdiction.
- Negotiated a deferred prosecution on and sealed the case for
a student client with a prior DWAI who was charged with the alcohol-related offenses of urinating in public,
obstruction of a peace officer and resisting arrest.
- Negotiated a client's 12-point traffic ticket to a simple traffic offense terminated with a fine, thereby
saving the client's driver's license.
- Negotiated a deferred judgment and sentence to a non-drug
related misdemeanor for a student client originally charged with a felony drug offense such that the client
would have the chance to seal the case and continue to have access to federal student loans.
- Negotiated termination of a client's 6 open cases in 3 jurisdictions—5 of the cases on which the
client was serving probation—with a fine, an ankle monitor sentence
and early termination of probation so the student client could return to home state, re-enroll in college,
reinstate driving privileges and get life back on track.
- Secured the sealing of the records related to a 37-year old felony drug case that had begun to cause the
client difficulty at work after enactment of the Patriot Act.
- Secured dismissal of all charges against client charged with domestic violence offenses of harassment and
criminal tampering and sealed the client's records.
- Noticed a technical error made by the court and district attorney with case settings and used that
information to secure the dismissal of all charges against an underage student client accused of
possession of alcohol and a fake ID.
